Broadband Technology Opportunity Program
(BTOP) grants
All grants are competitive and controlled by
Department of Commerce, National
Telecommunications and Information
Administration (NTIA)
Funding Available:
$4.7 billion nationally. Of these
funds:
• $250 million will be available for
innovative programs that encourage
sustainable adoption of broadband services;
• at least $200 million will be available to
upgrade technology and capacity at public
computing centers, including community
colleges and public libraries;
• up to $350 million of the BTOP funding is
designated for the development and
maintenance of statewide broadband inventory
maps.
There is still time to offer input on how to
use these funds. Three public meetings
are scheduled between now and Wednesday,
June 3. Written comments may be

Assistance to Rural Law
Enforcement to Combat Crime and Drugs
Funding Available:

$50,000. In categories I through IV, funding

Assistance to Rural
Law Enforcement to Combat Crime and Drugs
Funding Available:
Funding requests must be for a minimum of
$50,000. Funding is for initiatives that
help law enforcement in rural states and
rural areas to prevent and combat crime,
especially drug-related crime. Funding is
also provided for national training and
technical assistance programs targeted to

which is administered by the Bureau of Food
