Aging and Youth Committee 10/7/02
The Aging and
Youth Committee reported out the following bill as amended on Monday,
October 7, 2002:
House Bill 2055 This bill, known as the Elder Care Payment Restitution Act, would
require a facility, which provides elder care, to return certain
payments to a personal representative or guardian of a consumer upon the
death of that consumer.
A4782 This
amends makes some technical changes and clarifies what is included under
fee requirements.
Aging and Youth Committee 5/1/01
The following reported out of Senate Aging & Youth Committee:
HB 2213
This bill replaces the Intra-governmental Council on Long
Term Care with the Long-Term Care Council. It also expands the council
membership and duties. The council will consult with various departments
and agencies on matters relating to regulations, licensure, financing and
other responsibilities involving long-term care.
A2018
This amendment was added in committee. It allows the
Council to establish more than four standing committees and deletes the
prohibition on current Council members' serving on committees. Finally,
this amendment allows the Chairperson to establish additional committees
or ad hoc workgroups to assist the Council and committees.
