(Eichelberger) The bill amends the DUI (driving under the influence)
provision in Title 75 to include methadone in an individual’s blood
above the prescribed dose or in combination with alcohol or other drugs.

(Tallman) The bill enhances the penalties against drivers who recklessly
or with gross negligence cause a motor vehicle accident that kills or
seriously injures an emergency responder who is acting in an
official capacity. Additionally, permits attorneys in civil actions
involving motor vehicle accidents to argue specific lump sum amounts for
past and future economic and non-economic damages awards.

(Phillips) The bill designates a portion of the bridge on Route 11 over
the Susquehanna River in Northumberland County as the Sgt. Brett Swank

municipalities with police departments to receive one-half of the fines
from tickets issued by Pennsylvania State Police in that local
municipality.

SB 1047:
The bill amends the Rail Freight Preservation and Improvement Act (Act
119 of 1984) to add broadening language to a paragraph of current law
that allows a railroad company which receives a grant under this act to
perform the work at their cost with their own company forces without
putting the project out for contract.
