HARRISBURG, January 27 State Sen. Sean Logan today was honored by the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #5, Philadelphia, for his “dedicated support for law enforcement officers in Philadelphia and throughout the Commonwealth.”

Logan thanked the lodge for recognizing his efforts on behalf of police officers and their families.

Logan authored a new law last year (Act 51 of 2009) that guaranteed that survivors of fallen police officers and other emergency service workers receive 100 percent of the officer’s monthly salary.

He is also a founding member of the Law Enforcement Officers Caucus in the state Senate. The caucus serves to help police officers be as effective, efficient and safe as possible.
