NAMED TO BOARD OF TRUSTEES AT ARCADIA

HARRISBURG, October 17
– State Senator
LeAnna Washington (D-Phila.) has been named
to the Board of Trustees of top-ranked
Arcadia University.
“I am honored to be named as
member of Arcadia University’s Board of
Trustees,” Washington said. “I hope that my
expertise and background will assist the
university in maintaining is reputations as
a distinguished and excellent place to
study.”
This appointment adds a focus on higher
education to Washington’s already
distinguished career of civic and
legislative service on behalf of seniors,
women, families and children in the greater
Philadelphia area.
Washington will represent the Class of 2009
on the Arcadia Board. Consisting of 30
members, the Board of Trustees is the main
governing body of Arcadia, with
responsibilities such as appointing the
President and faculty as well as working to
evolve the educational programs, mission
statement and Strategic Initiatives of the
University. |
