WASHINGTON OFFERS FREE GUN LOCKS TO THE COMMUNITY

Washington

HARRISBURG, August 8 – State Senator LeAnna M. Washington (D-Philadelphia/Montgomery) is encouraging citizens to visit her Wadsworth or Roslyn district offices to receive free gunlocks.

“These gun locks are part of a national effort designed to ensure safe and responsible firearm ownership and storage,” Washington said.  “Just stop in either of my offices to receive your free gun lock.”

The special program, called Project Childsafe Gunlocks, was developed by the National Shooting Sports Foundation and is supported by a Department of Justice grant.

Washington said that constituents do not need to phone in advance to receive the gunlocks, however, there is a limit of one gunlock per family.

The Wadsworth office is located at 1555-A Wadsworth Avenue in northwest Philadelphia and may be reached by calling 215-242-0472.  The Roslyn office is located at 1168 Easton Road in Roslyn and may be reached by calling 215-517-1434.
