WASHINGTON STATEMENT ON THE 2007-08 BUDGET

State Sen. LeAnna Washington
(D-Philadelphia/Montgomery) this evening
offered the following statement related to
the 2007-08 General Fund budget:
“I am deeply concerned that
Pennsylvania has run up against the
Constitutional deadline for the passage of
the state budget,” Washington said. “We need
to ensure that Pennsylvania has a reasonable
spending plan in place.
“The House, Senate and the
governor should come together quickly and
reach an agreement on a spending plan that
meets the needs of all Pennsylvanians.” |
