WASHINGTON TO HAND OUT CHRISTMAS TOYS TO LOCAL CHILDREN

            PHILADELPHIA, December 10: State Sen. LeAnna Washington (D-Philadelphia/Montgomery) is helping to make the holidays a little brighter for children at an upcoming holiday party.

Washington has collected toys and gifts at her district office and will give out the presents to local children at a holiday party on Friday, Dec. 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lonnie Young Recreation Center, located at 1100 E. Chelten Ave. (at the corner of Ardleigh Street) in Philadelphia.

“Christmas is a season of giving, and I am happy to host this holiday party and hand out presents once again this year. It’s an event I look forward to,” Washington said. “Our local children deserve a holiday treat, so I also thank everyone who helped make sure that they enjoy a fun evening and receive special gifts.”
