WEST CHESTER,
January 8
–
State Senator Andy Dinniman invited
residents and senior citizens to attend a
special Identity Theft Prevention Event set
for Wednesday, January 13 from 12:45 p.m. to
1:30 p.m. at the Phoenixville Senior Center.
“Identity theft is a serious crime, and one
that often targets senior citizens. People
whose identities have been stolen can spend
months or years – and thousands of dollars –
cleaning up the mess made by thieves,”
Dinniman said. “I encourage residents to
attend this upcoming information session for
helpful tips on how to prevent becoming a
victim.”
The event is organized by the Pennsylvania
Department of Insurance’s Office of the
Consumer Liaison. It will feature important
information on:
The different ways identity theft occurs;
How thieves use your information;
The option of identity theft insurance; and
What to do if your identity is stolen.
The Phoenixville Senior Center is located at
153 Church Street in Phoenixville.
For more information on the program or to

against identity theft, call Senator
Dinniman’s office at 610-692-2112 or e-mail
