            PHILADELPHIA, November 14 - In response to rising home foreclosures, predatory lending schemes and changes in real estate tax structure, State Sen. Vincent Hughes (D-Phila) is inviting his constituents to his HOME - the HomeOwnership & Mortgage Education program on Saturday, November 17. The event, which is part of Hughes’ Show Me the Money economic empowerment series, will offer information and resources that address a host of issues related to homeownership, tax laws and personal credit/finance.

            Partnering organizations include Consumer Credit Counseling, Community Legal Services, Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency, Haddington-Cobbs Creek Neighborhood Advisory Committee, Northwest Counseling Services, the Housing Association of Delaware Valley, the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development, ACORN, Office of Housing and Community Development, Neighborhood Housing Services, the Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office, the Partnership CDC, Philadelphia Housing Development Corporation, and Harlee Financial.
