HUGHES TO HOST HIV/AIDS AWARENESS EVENT

            PHILADELPHIA, February 8 - Senator Vincent Hughes (D-Phila.) will co-sponsor “Live to Love & Be Loved,” a special community HIV/AIDS education and awareness event on Saturday, February 9, at his 7th Senatorial District Office, 4601 Market Street.  The event, which runs from 10:00 am to 3:00 p.m., commemorates the February 7th National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.  “Live to Love” will include on-site rapid testing, resource providers along with information, and special breakout sessions for teens, adults and seniors.  The event is free and open to the public.  Breakfast and refreshments also will be provided.

            Haddington-Cobbs is co-sponsoring the event with Senator Hughes.  Other participating partners include Circle of Care, BEBASHI, AIDS Activity Coordinating Committee, and the Mazzoni Center.
