GAMING CONTROL BOARD HEARINGS SCHEDULED FOR PHILADELPHIA

          PHILADELPHIA, April 4 – The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has scheduled public input hearings for April 10, 11, and 12, beginning at 8:30 a.m., to be held in the main auditorium of Drexel University at 3141 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia.

          “These hearings are an opportunity for the public to hear more about each of the five casino proposals for Philadelphia,” said Kitchen (D-Philadelphia). “These hearings will also provide a forum for community groups and individuals to express their preferences and concerns.”

          These hearings will address the following casino proposals:

  • HSP Gaming

  • Philadelphia Entertainment and Development (Foxwoods)

  • Keystone Redevelopment

  • Riverwalk Casino

  • PNK, LLC

          In addition, the Gaming Control Board has scheduled an additional day for public input on two proposals for racetracks to be located in southeastern Pennsylvania. This hearing will take place on May 12, beginning at 8:30 a.m., to be held in the Dossone Building auditorium on the campus of Drexel University.

          Individuals will have three minutes to deliver their comments. All speakers must have already submitted their registration to the Gaming Control Board. Registrants will be notified by mail which hearing they are to attend.

          In addition, individuals may submit written comments that will be given equal weight to testimony presented in person. Those interested in submitting written comments have until June 2, 2006. Written comments should be mailed to the following address:
