PHILADELPHIA, May 1: State Sen. Shirley Kitchen will host the 3rd Annual Senior Healthy Living Expo, a free event for Philadelphia seniors who want to learn more about their health care and living options from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, May 18 at the Yorkhouse, 5325 Old York Road, Philadelphia.

“The community that I represent in the state Senate, North Central Philadelphia, has the largest population of Medicare participants in the city,” said Kitchen (D-Philadelphia). “That’s why I wanted to host this event. I hope that everyone will feel empowered and energized after the event so that we can all learn how to lead healthier, happier, and richer lives.”

Learn more about Cambridge assisted living at the Yorkhouse, medical prescription drug coverage, home health care, senior medical health plans, estate planning, health screenings, preventive health care, safety and victim services, senior citizen housing, tai chi lessons and more.

The expo is sponsored by Senior Partners, a Medicare plan that serves over 18,000 Philadelphia seniors. Albert Einstein Medical Center, Jefferson Health System, is a contributing sponsor.

Scheduled to participate are officials from the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office; Unclaimed Property Bureau; Department of Revenue; APPRISE, the state Department of Aging’s Health Insurance Counseling program; Albert Einstein Medical Center; Arthritis Foundation; Philadelphia Corporation for Aging; Fox Chase Cancer Center; North Central Victim Services; and the York House, an exclusive apartment community for older Philadelphians.
