KITCHEN ANNOUNCES 2008 HEALTH FAIR

WHO:               State Sen. Shirley M. Kitchen, Third Senatorial District, Deliverance Evangelistic Church and State Rep. Jewell Williams 

WHAT:             2008 Health Fair                                                            

WHEN:             Saturday, May 3, 2008
                        10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

                        In the event of rain, Health Fair will be held inside the church.

                        2001 W. Lehigh Ave., Philadelphia 

DETAILS:         State Sen. Shirley M. Kitchen invites community members of all ages to the free 2008 Health Fair. This special event is a chance for area residents to receive health information and health screenings.  

                       The health fair will feature free screenings for blood pressure, glucose, HbA1c, and more. In addition, there will be gospel choirs, mime performers, activities for children, free food, and prizes. Children’s activities include Philadelphia Zoo on Wheels “Around the World,” which features animals from different continents. 

                       Workshops at the Fair include: The History of Hypertension in African Americans, Dealing with Chronic Pain, Living with Arthritis, Heart Disease and more.
