KITCHEN ANNOUNCES MORTGAGE FORECLOSURE & PUBLIC UTILITY CLINICS

 PHILADELPHIA, October 28 State Sen. Shirley Kitchen will host several free Mortgage Foreclosure and Public Utility Clinics, with the goal of assisting constituents who are facing foreclosure, suffering from a predatory mortgage loan or wondering how to pay for their utilities this winter.

            “Whether a homeowner is facing mounting mortgage bills or utility bills, this workshop series is the place to talk to experts and find real solutions to their issues,” Kitchen said.  “I encourage everyone to attend these free workshops.”

            The community is welcome to attend the following upcoming clinics: 

  • Saturday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bright Hope Baptist Church, 12th Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue
  • Saturday, Nov. 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at John Hartranft School, 720 W. Cumberland St.
  • Monday, Nov. 17 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5900 N. 5th St. (5th and Nedro)
  • Saturday, Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 8th Street Community Baptist Church, 3760 N. 8th St. (8th and Butler)
  • Saturday, Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Holy Trinity Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, 1100 W. Rockland St.

            Residents are invited to talk one on one with authorized representatives from PECO, PGW, the Water Revenue Bureau and more. Participants can also learn more about mortgage foreclosures, disputes, debt collection, real estate fraud and more from experts.
