KITCHEN INVITES PUBLIC TO ENERGY CONSERVATION WORKSHOP

            PHILADELPHIA, February 23 Residents can gain a basic understanding of the best and most cost-effective ways to reduce their energy usage at a free upcoming Energy Conservation Workshop, sponsored by state Sen. Shirley Kitchen (D-Philadelphia).

            “It’s never too late to take steps to lower your utility costs,” Kitchen said. “This workshop offers simple and effective tips to keep out the cold and keep your bills in control. I invite everyone to take this opportunity and attend this beneficial workshop.”

            The Energy Conservation Workshop will take place on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. at Beloved St. John Evangelistic Church, 4541 N. Broad St. (at Belfield Avenue).

            Attendees will learn how to seal their home through tips on using plastic storm windows, weather stripping and V-seal. Learn how to use a caulk gun and how to install foam insulation, rope caulk and automatic clock thermostats. Free weatherization materials will be offered.

            The event is hosted by Beloved St. John CDC and co-sponsored by the Energy Coordinating Agency.
