KITCHEN INVITES COMMUNITY TO UPCOMING HEALTH FAIR

PHILADELPHIA, AUG. 31, 2009 — State Sen. Shirley Kitchen invites the community to an upcoming free health fair.

 On Saturday, Sept. 5, the senator and Helping Underprivileged Groups Survive, Inc. (HUGS) present “Your Health is Your Wealth Fair,” which will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 3900 block of North 10^th Street, in front of the Lenfest PAL Center.

“Anyone can live a healthy lifestyle, and this event will teach the community how to take the right steps toward living life to the fullest,” Kitchen said. “This health fair is open to people of all ages, so I encourage the entire community to join in.”

There will be health screenings, seminars, exhibitors, free food, giveaways and children’s activities. The senior corner will feature health talks, a fitness demonstration, healthy snacks, giveaways and more.
