DETAILS:         At Sen. Kitchen’s request, the committee is holding the hearing in Philadelphia to discuss the significance of urban modernization. The participants will offer perspectives concerning modernization in building, infrastructure development and policy initiatives.                           

                        Participants will include Jerry Bennett, director of programs for Energy Coordinating Agency of Philadelphia; Albert Saiz, assistant professor at The Wharton School, University of Peensylvania; Romulo Diaz, PECO vice president of government and external affairs; Candace Carmon, building trades director at Philadelphia YouthBuild Charter School; George Jenkins, building trades instructor at Philadelphia YouthBuild Charter School; Michael Boyer, manager of long range planning at Delaware Regional Valley Planning Commission; and Rose Gray, vice president of economic development at Asociacion Puertorriquenos en Marcha, Inc (APM).
