KITCHEN, FOX CHASE CANCER CENTER HOSTING
FREE MAMMOGRAM EVENT
PHILADELPHIA,
June 2 —
State Sen. Shirley Kitchen is teaming up
with Fox Chase Cancer Center to offer women
free mammograms.
Women ages 40 and older may sign up for this
free event, which will take place from 10
a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 12 in the
parking lot of Deliverance Evangelistic
Church, located at 2001 W. Lehigh Ave. by
appointment only. No insurance is necessary
but a doctor’s note is required.
One in eight women will be diagnosed with
breast cancer in their lifetime, according
to the American Cancer Society.
“Early detection is crucial for treating
breast cancer, and a mammogram is a simple
screening that can save your life,” Kitchen
said. “I encourage all women ages 40 and
older to take advantage of this
opportunity.”
Space is limited. To make an appointment,
call Debra Resnick at Fox Chase Cancer
Center at 215-214-1682.
