LEACH ATTENDS LUDINGTON LIBRARY RENOVATION
GROUNDBREAKING
|

Leach |
LOWER MERION,
January 25 –
State Senator Daylin Leach
(D-Delaware/Montgomery) this weekend
attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the
Ludington Library Renovation Project. The
renovation, which will add 10,400 square
feet to the library, will also finish
essential maintenance projects, improve ADA
accessibility and create much needed safety
and technology upgrades.
“I am pleased that the library has decided
to begin the renovation process and I am
excited to see the ultimate results. The
library system is an essential part of any
community, and by expanding and upgrading
Ludington, our residents will have the
opportunity to host a premier library right
in their backyards,” Leach said.
Leach added that residents should note that
the library will be closed for at least 14
months during the renovation project, but
the Lower Merion Library System has offered
assistance by opening a small temporary
branch on the current Ludington Library
parking lot. The Bala Cynwyd Library will
also extend their hours to operate seven
additional hours per week, and Ardmore
Library plans to help the community by
offering more public computers and story
hours. To continue to serve its patrons, the
Ludington Library will also make its main
collection available by online request.
More information about the project and
status updates will be available on Lower
Merion Township’s
Web site.
