Democratic Leader Robert Mellow will be hosting another Energy Fair in Luzerne County this weekend. This event will be the third in a series of events aimed at providing consumers with valuable information to save money on winter heating bills. Area malls have provided a convenient location for constituents to gather this information in a quick and easy manner.

Attendees will be able to find out more about programs and services available to help lower winter utility bills, as well as tips on how to make their homes more energy efficient during the winter months.  Shoppers can also obtain information on electric deregulation and the alternatives available to them now that rate caps have expired.

Representatives from the Public Utility Commission, Retail Energy Supply Association, PPL’s e-power team, and the Pennsylvania Consumer Advocate will be on hand to answer questions. Weatherization experts will also showcase different products and devices available to use in the home to lower energy costs.

The event will be held in the Main Concourse between The Bon-Ton and JC Penney.
