WOZNIAK ANNOUNCES POLLUTION PREVENTION GRANT FOR CAMBRIA

Wozniak

HARRISBURG, April 30 – State Sen. John N. Wozniak announced today a grant that will help citizens dispose of household chemicals in a safe and environmentally friendly way.

“Unfortunately, many of the products we use are too volatile or hazardous for the regular trash,” Wozniak said. “I’m happy to support efforts to help local citizens do the right thing when it comes to certain household chemicals.”

The grant was awarded under the Pennsylvania Small Business and Household Pollution Prevention Program supervised by the state Department of Environmental Resources.

It will send $4,208 to Cambria County to reimburse half the cost of running a hazardous waste collection event at the Cambria County Solid Waste Authority.
