WOZNIAK ANNOUNCES RECYCLING GRANT FOR CLEARFIELD COUNTY

Wozniak

HARRISBURG, April 30 – State Sen. John N. Wozniak today announced a state grant that will boost Clearfield County recycling efforts.

“Recycling is the front line in the battle to preserve our resources and protect our environment,” Wozniak said. “I’m proud to support local efforts to promote recycling as something every Pennsylvanian can do to help.”

The $17,495 grant from the Department of Environmental Rescoures was awarded under a 20-year-old state program that helps counties hire a recycling coordinator to run local programs.   The grant will pay half the salary and expenses of the county coordinator.

“County recycling programs are right in line with the environmental mantra ‘think globally; act locally,” Wozniak said. “Preserving a clean, bright future begins in every room in every home.”
