TARTAGLIONE MOVED FROM INTENSICE CARE

       HARRISBURG, September 19, 2003 – State Senator Christine M. Tartaglione has been moved from the Neurological Intensive Care Unit to a hospital room.

            "This is great news and is another positive step in her rehabilitation," said Don Kockler, her Chief of Staff.

            Tartaglione was injured over the Labor Day weekend and has undergone three surgical procedures at Temple to repair her injured spine.

           "We anticipate that after a short stay at Temple, the Senator will move on to a rehabilitation facility to continue her healing," said Kockler.

          On Monday, September 22, Temple physicians will conduct a press briefing to discuss the Senator's surgery and medical condition.  The briefing will take place at Temple University Hospital, Broad & Ontario streets, first floor auditorium at 11:00 AM.
