Haitian Quake Relief Efforts
In
light of the devastation and human
suffering in Haiti caused by the recent
earthquake, we all want to do what we
can do to help. Because relief
organizations need monetary donations to
allow them to respond quickly to the
need in Haiti, many groups are seeking
contributions. Before you donate, please
take the time to research the
organization and make sure that it is a
legitimate one. The best way to donate
is through an established organization
from your area, like the Lions Club. The
donor can feel safe that the money is
going directly to the right source.

Clear
Vehicles of Snow, Ice for Safety
Did you know that state law requires you
to clear their vehicles’ windows of ice
and snow before driving? Driving without
full visibility is extremely dangerous,
and ice or snow that falls from your
vehicle can pose a serious threat to
others on the road. State law also
requires motorists to turn on their
vehicle’s headlights whenever their
windshield wipers are in use. Be safe
this winter!
