Against Recession
There is a real crisis going on in
America. Gas and food prices are going
up, home foreclosures are increasing and
American families are getting stuck in
the mire of a very real, very
devastating economic recession.
On September 20, I will be hosting a
“Protection Against Recession”
summit and workshop aimed at helping you
learn to survive, sustain and manage
your personal finances during these
difficult economic times.
Counselors will be in attendance to
provide group and private individual
assistance on topics such as:
Pennsylvania is
already on the cutting edge of the
issue, with increases to funding for the
Low Income Home Energy Assistance
Program (LIHEAP), a key investment to
guard against predatory lenders and home
foreclosures, and innovative programs
for energy conservation and efficiency.
I urge you to join me
on September 20 at the
School of the Future, 40th
and Parkside Avenue, from 10 am – 2 pm
to discuss these very important
issues. A recession affects the entire
community and we must work together to
ensure our economic stability during
these difficult times.
