What Do You Think of Philly’s Fiscal Plan?

I think we are already overtaxed.

Mayor Michael Nutter is asking the state legislature and the governor to allow Philadelphia to temporarily raise its sales tax by 1 percent and make changes to the city’s pension payments. So far, the House of Representatives has passed a measure (House Bill 1828)Money and its fate now rests in the Senate’s hands.

This is legislation that will impact every constituent in my district, so I want to know your opinion about this possible sales tax increase.

Please let me know if you support or oppose this measure, as well as your concerns. How do you think it will impact families and city businesses, which are competing with suburban businesses?

Please contact my Parkwood Plaza office at
(215) 281-2539; Bustleton Avenue at (215) 695-1020 or Harrisburg at (717) 787-9608 or send an e-mail by clicking on the following link http://www.senatorstack.com/contact.htm

I look forward to hearing from you as the Senate considers this legislation.
