LAST STEP FOR MINIMUM WAGE

Sen. Fumo worked with Democratic colleagues to pass legislation raising Pennsylvania's minimum wage for the first time in nearly a decade

State Sen. Vince Fumo is reminding workers and employers that the final step in Pennsylvania’s phased-in minimum wage takes place today.

The minimum wage rises to $7.15 for virtually all Pennsylvania workers after two years of gradual increases intended to give small business a chance to adjust.

IS YOUR BOSS COMPLYING WITH THE NEW WAGE LAW?

Pennsylvania’s new minimum wage law has different provisions for workers under 20 years of age who can be paid a training wage.
The new law provides certain exceptions for tipped employees while the federal minimum wage at times overlaps.  For more information on compliance click HERE.
