Combating opioid abuse and addiction must continue to be a priority at the national, state, and local levels.

On June 27, 2018, the United States Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that employees who decline union membership are not required to pay “fair share” dues to the union that collectively bargains on their behalf.

The Pennsylvania Senate Democrats disagree with the Supreme Court’s ruling and will continue to fight for the rights of unions and workers.

PA Senate Democrats Applaud On-Time Budget

The Pennsylvania Senate passed the state budget for Fiscal Year 2018-19 (House Bill 2121) by a vote of 47-2. The on-time budget includes investments in education, health care, workforce development, and social justice.
