HARRISBURG – June 18, 2019 –  On Wednesday, June 19, commonly known as Juneteenth Independence Day, the Diasporic Alliance for Cannabis Opportunities (DAC), Minorities for Medical Marijuana (M4MM) and other cannabis advocates will meet in Harrisburg to emphasize the importance of social equity, expungement of records and financial and technical support for communities who’ve been ravaged by the War on Drugs.

Adult use legalization discussions are happening across Pennsylvania, and in our neighboring states of New Jersey and New York. With Lt. Gov. John Fetterman finishing his state-wide tour, it’s time to emphasize why social equity and economic empowerment programs need to be included in all cannabis-related bills.
