Post Session Report: April 19, 2010

HB 464, PN 1535:  The bill amends Act 62 of 1947 by prohibiting the use of automated ticket purchasing software for the purchase of entertainment tickets over an Internet website.  Senator Tomlinson offered amendment A6362 which was technical in nature.  The Senate agreed to the amendment and the bill went over as amended.

SB 1072, PN 1382:  The legislation designates U.S. Route 62 in Mercer County as the Mercer County Veterans Bridge.  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

SB 1144, PN 1795:  The legislation designates the bridge over Barclay Run in the Borough of Somerset as Trooper Stephen R. Gyurke Memorial Bridge.  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

SB 1186, PN 1837:  The bill amends Title 51 (Military Affairs) by allowing the Department of Military Affairs to arrange for burial details for veteran soldiers who are to be interred in the Washington Crossing National Cemetery.  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

SR 146, PN 1263:  This measure directs the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee to conduct a study as it relates to passenger rail.  The Senate agreed to the adoption.

SR 286, PN 1819:  This resolution recognizes May 6, 2010 as “National Day of Prayer” in Pennsylvania.  The Senate agreed to the adoption.
