Post Session Report: April 3, 2012

SB 110, PN 2051 (Smucker) – This bill amends Title 74 (Transportation) to require that certain information be provided about the use of the Commonwealth’s aircraft and the information would be maintained on PennDOT’s website.  The Senate concurred in House amendments by a vote of 49-0.

SB 730, PN 2034 (Gordner) – The bill amends the Second Class Township Code (P.L. 103, No. 69 of 1933) by amending Section 1503 to permit a township to transfer real and personal property to a council of governments (COGs) or any other entity created by an intergovernmental cooperation agreement without following public notification and bidding requirements.  The Senate concurred in House amendments by a vote of 49-0.

SB 743, PN 1843 (Rafferty) – This legislation amends Section 1519 (relating to teaching of Safe Driving of Motor Vehicles) of the Public School Code of 1949 to provide an exemption from certification for driver education teachers.  The Senate concurred in House amendments by a vote of 49-0.

SB 815, PN 2033 (Baker) – This legislation amends Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) further providing for right to counsel.  The Senate concurred in House amendments by a vote of 49-0.

SB 1167, PN 1947 (Baker) – This legislation amends Title 51 (Military Affairs) providing for assignment of custody rights during military deployment.  The Senate concurred in House amendments by a vote of 49-0.

HB 469, PN 2756 (Cox) – The bill amends the Practical Nurse Law, allowing only individuals licensed as registered nurses or practical nurses to use the title “nurse.”  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

HB 470, PN 2757 (Cox) – The bill amends the Professional Nursing Law, allowing only individuals licensed as registered nurses or practical nurses to use the title “nurse.”  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

HB 823, PN 3335 (Scavello) – This bill amends the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (Act 247 of 1968) by requiring municipalities to give monthly notice of finally-approved residential developments or planned residential developments to school superintendants for the purposes of anticipating the impact on that school district.  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

HB 1500, PN 3336 (Bear) – This legislation consolidates the Long-Term Care Patient Access to Pharmaceuticals Act into Title 51 (Military Affairs).  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.
