HB 169, PN 2819 (Delozier) – The legislation amends the Local Option Small Games of Chance Act by clarifying several definitions, details on prize limits, proceeds for club licensees, as well as specifications for enforcement and penalties.  Senator Earll offered Amendment A08093, which makes changes to the fee structure, payout ceilings, reporting requirements and eligible uses for the funds generated; allows for exclusions to payout ceilings in the case of raffles to benefit emergency services organizations; and classifies certain violations of this act to be violations of the liquor code.  A vote of 43-5 was recorded and the bill went over as amended.

SB 1133, PN 1788 (D. White) – This legislation amends the Public School Code of 1949 to allow institutions within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) to offer doctoral degrees under certain conditions.  A vote of 48-0 was recorded.

SB 1308, PN 1732 (Tomlinson) – This legislation creates a new “State System of Higher Education Intellectual Property Act” (Act) that permits State-owned universities to enter into agreements to develop and market intellectual property owned or created by an employee of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE).  A vote of 48-0 was recorded.

SB 1322, PN 1743 (Smucker) – This legislation amends the Public School Code to allow the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) to enter into an agreement with any entity for the cooperative use of supplies and services.  A vote of 48-0 was recorded.

HB 1630, PN 2818 (Tobash) – This legislation amends the Motor Vehicle Sales Finance Act, further providing for revocation or suspension of licenses.  A vote of 48-0 was recorded.
