SR 6 PN 180 (Greenleaf): A Resolution directing the Joint State Government Commission to study the issue of violence prevention, to establish an advisory committee to conduct a thorough and comprehensive analysis of the underlying causes of violent crime, including mass shootings, and to report to the Senate with its findings and recommendations. Senator Costa, on behalf of Senator Hughes, offered Amendment A00067, which would include the Mental Health Procedures Act as a part of the final report. The amendment was adopted and the resolution was adopted as amended, 48-1.
