HB 9, PN 3939:  This legislation would amend the Pennsylvania Conservation Corps Act by extending the sunset date until June 30, 2020.  A vote of 48-0 was recorded.

SB 460, PN 2026:  The legislation would create the Indoor Tanning Regulation Act in which a license to operate a tanning device is required among other aspects.  Senator Browne offered amendment A07979 which was technical in nature.  The Senate agreed to the amendment and the bill went over in its order.

SB 1334, PN 2037:  This bill amends the Insurance Company law by providing that the marketing, sale, offering for sale, issuance, making, proposing to make and administration of a service contract shall not be construed to be the business of insurance and shall therefore be exempt from regulation as insurance.  Senator D. White offered amendment A07830 that was technical in nature.  The Senate agreed to the amendment and the bill went over in its order.

HB 2275, PN 3257:  The bill authorizes the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to grant and convey to the Canaan Bible Chapel certain lands located in South Canaan Township, Wayne County, in exchange for certain property in South Canaan Township, Wayne County, to be conveyed by the Canaan Bible Chapel to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  Senator Corman offered amendment A08021 which conveys land to The Pennsylvania State University and Benner Township.  The Senate agreed to the amendment.  Senator Hughes offered amendment A08080 that would convey land to the Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development, certain lands in the 38th Ward of Philadelphia.  The Senate agreed to the amendment. Senator Mellow offered amendment A08081 which would convey land to Marywood University.  The Senate agreed to the amendment.  Senator M. J. White offered amendment A08157 that would convey land to Frenchcreek Township.  A vote of 47-1 was recorded on the amendment and the bill went over in its order.

SB 900, PN 2028:  The legislation amends Title 53 (Municipalities Generally) by creating a new chapter entitled the Neighborhood Blight Reclamation and Revitalization Act, which lists the actions a municipality may institute against the owner of any building, housing or land in serious violation of an ordinance or code.  Senator Argall offered amendment A08135 which was clarifying language.  The Senate agreed to the amendment and the bill went over in its order.

SR 229, PN 2080:  The Resolution urges the United States Preventive Services Task Force to reexamine its recommendations on mammograms for women beginning at 40 years of age.  The Senate agreed to the resolution.
