Post Session Report: June 28, 2012

HB 208, PN 3491 (Reed) – This bill amends Title 75 by increasing the penalty for accidents resulting in the death of the victim.  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

HB 254, PN 3443 (Grove) – The bill amends Title 75, Vehicle Code, further providing for learner’s permits.  Senator Pileggi offered Amendment A12779, which expands the use of red light cameras to other municipalities.  The amendment was agreed to and the bill went over in its order as amended.

HB 973, PN 3835 (Kula) – The bill amends the Vital Statistics Law of 1953 and further provides for disposition of cremated remains of veterans.  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

HB 1539, PN 3790 (Saylor) – This legislation amends the Workforce Development Act to establish the Keystone Works Program.  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

HB 1893, PN 3788 (Vulakovich) – This bill amends Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) by providing that a person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree if the person has a business and/or owns and operates simulated gambling programs.  Senator Tomlinson offered amendment A12070, which was technical in nature.  The amendment was agreed to and the bill went over in its order as amended.

HB 1908, PN 3842 (Micozzie) – The bill creates the Towing and Towing Storage Facility Standards Act.  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

HB 2345, PN 3473 (Vereb) – The bill designates the bridge carrying Burnside Avenue in West Norriton Township in Montgomery County over Stony Creek as the “Albert Earl Momme Bridge.”  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.
