Post Session Report: May 11, 2011

SB 104, PN 1187:  This legislation amends the fiscal code to provide for the use of state owned vehicles.  Senator Boscola offered amendment A02143 which deals with reporting to the department.  The Senate agreed to the amendment and the bill went over in its order.

SB 468, PN 723:  This bill amends Title 75 (Vehicles) to allow for special registration plates for recipients of certain Medals.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

SB 612, PN 1209:  This legislation amends the Public School Code by adding economic reasons as part of a plan to reduce or control school district costs as a permitted reason for furloughing teachers.   A vote of 38-12 was recorded.

SB 631, PN 1033:  The bill designates the section of State Route 23 between the Chester County Border with Montgomery County and State Route 100 as the Medal of Honor Grove Highway.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

SB 728, PN 734:  The bill designated the bridge located on I-99 at mile marker 19 in Freedom Township, Blair County as the Cpl. Harry Raymond Harr Memorial Bridge.  The bridge passes over old State Route 220 near the Greenfield Township line.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.
