SB 881, PN 1604 (Blake) – The bill amends Title 66 to clarify the definition of “public utility” and adds the definitions of “resort” and “independently owned user premises”.  A vote of 48-0 was recorded.

SB 973, PN 1352 (Scavello) – SB 973 amends Titles 18 (Crimes and Offenses) and 75 (Vehicles) to increase fines for littering.  Senator Scavello offered amendment A06421, which allows PennDOT an additional six months to use registration cards with a statement regarding littering provisions.  The amendment was agreed to and the bill went over in its order as amended.

SB 1104, PN 1645 (Greenleaf) – This bill updates the Probate, Estates and Fiduciaries Code based on court cases, changes to federal law and recommendations by the Joint State Government Commission.  Omnibus amendments include the consolidation of the Charitable Instruments Act of 1971 into the Probate Code.  A vote of 48-0 was recorded.

SR 267, PN 1615 (Schwank) – This resolution directs the Joint State Government Commission to establish an advisory committee to study issues relating to the need, availability and access to effective drug addiction treatment within the Commonwealth.  The Senate adopted the resolution via voice vote.
