SB 403 PN 1548 (Hutchinson): This bill would authorize the awarding of grants to medical school residents (both full-time and part-time) in exchange for their service in the National Guard, to help attract and retain more physicians in the Guard. The bill was approved 49-0.

HB 668 PN 756 (Marshall): Provides townships of the second class with the ability to purchase used equipment from another government entity without advertising and bidding. The bill was approved 49-0.

HB 669 PN 757 (Marshall): Provides townships of the first class with the ability to purchase used equipment from another government entity without advertising and bidding. The bill was approved

SB 995 PN 1549 (Vogel): Creates the PA Livery Providers Fair Lien Act. The bill was approved 49-0.

SB 1115 PN 1458 (Robbins): Enhances the benefit and scope of the Educational Assistance Program. The bill was approved 49-0.

HB 1348 PN 1742 (Sonney): The bill amends the Medical Practice Act regarding physician supervision of physician assistants. Senator Tomlinson offered Amendment A04403, which was technical in nature . The amendment was approved and the bill went over as amended.

HB 1351 PN 1744 (Sonney): The bill amends the Osteopathic Medical Practice Act regarding physician supervision of physician assistants. Senator Tomlinson offered Amendment A04401, which was technical in nature. The amendment was approved and the bill went over as amended.

HB 1439 PN 2637 (Hahn): Amends Title 53 Municipalities Generally (2A through 8th class counties) by exempting certain agricultural structures from assessment as real estate. Senator Vogel offered Amendment A04549, which was technical in nature . The amendment was approved and the bill went over as amended.

HB 1098 PN 2639 (Payne): Amends the Small Games of Chance Act (Act 156 of 1988) to allow 50/50 drawings at minor league home games; clarifies the distribution of proceeds to charity; and provides for tavern gaming. The bill was approved 34-15.
