SB 290 PN 1751 (Rafferty): This bill amends the Vehicle Code (Title 75) to make provisions related to ignition interlock requirements under current law for those who have committed Driving under the Influence (DUI) violations. The Senate concurred the House’s amendments and the bill was approved 50-0.

HB 608 PN 3372 (Baker): This bill amends The Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act to provide for authorities of the Secretary of Health dealing involving controlled substance scheduling. The bill was approved 50-0.

SB 837 PN 1671 (Aument): The bill amends the Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors Act to expand title protection to marriage and family therapists and provides for its penalties, as well as altering the composition of the Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors Board. The bill was approved 50-0.

SB 1194 PN 1785 (Mensch): This bill would provide for the continuation of the State Military College Legislative Appointment Initiative Program Act. The bill was approved 50-0.

HB 1196 PN 3353 (Petri): This bill amends the Liquor Code by redefining contiguous territory for import distributors and brewers and adds a section providing for a temporary national event permit for the Democratic National Committee Convention. The bill was approved 50-0.

SB 1216 PN 1774 (Stefano): This bill designates the bridge carrying State Route 3087 over Jacobs Creek connecting Scottdale, Westmoreland County, and Everson, Fayette County, as the Private First Class Joseph Anthony Petrarca/Staff Sergeant John William Earnesty Memorial Bridge. The bill was approved 50-0.

HB 1436 PN 2690 (Godshall): The bill adds a new section to Title 66 regarding the computation of income tax expense for the purposes of ratemaking. The bill was approved 49-1.

HB 1552 PN 3373 (Roae): This bill would allow Pennsylvania to take part in a regional compact and an interstate reciprocity agreement for the purpose of post-secondary distance education. The bill was approved 49-1.

SR 325 PN 1730 (Mensch): Urges the Administration to address the coverage and outage issues that have persisted in the statewide radio system (STARNet) since it launched. The resolution was unanimously adopted.

SB 1108 PN 1752 (Scavello): This bill amends Title 75 (Vehicles) to provide for the definition, licensing, and accident reporting for “autocycles” and allows PennDOT to issue special permits for hauling milk. The Senate concurred the House’s amendments and the bill was approved 50-0.
