PASSED THE SENATE

SB 304, PN319: The legislation amends the Probate Code to give state and local taxes a priority when the assets of an estate are insufficient to pay all of the debts of the estate.  The bill places the Commonwealth and its subdivisions sixth on the list for the payments of claims above the general category “all other claims”.  Currently, it is last on the list of priority in that general category.  A 27-20 vote was recorded.

SB 379, PN773: The legislation amends the Vehicle Code as it pertains to funeral processions.  It authorizes the use of flashing or revolving yellow or white lights while traveling to or returning from a funeral destination.

A0407(Waugh): This amendment removes the provision authorizing the use of flashing or revolving yellow or white lights while returning from a funeral.  The lights may now only be used when traveling to a funeral destination.  A 47-0 vote was recorded.
