SB 45, PN29: The legislation amends the Crimes Code to make it unlawful for any person to knowingly purchase, sell, install or reinstall a fake airbag or “junk-filled” airbag on a motor vehicle.  Any violation constitutes a misdemeanor of the first degree, which carries a maximum fine of $10,000, 5 years imprisonment or both.  A 46-0 vote was recorded.

SB 340, PN785: The legislation designates the new Livestock Meat Animal Evaluation Center at Pennsylvania State University as the Samuel E. Hayes, Jr., Livestock Meat Animal Evaluation Center.

A0446(Corman): This is a technical amendment.  It removes the words “Meat Animal” wherever they appear in the bill.  A 46-0 vote was recorded.

EXECUTIVE NOMINATIONS: Kathleen Pavelko was confirmed as a member of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.  A 46-0 vote was recorded.

EXECUTIVE NOMINATIONS: Colonel Jerry G. Beck, Jr., was confirmed as Brigadier General in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.  A 46-0 vote was recorded.
