The legislation amends the Crimes Code to make it unlawful
for any person to knowingly purchase, sell, install or reinstall a fake airbag
or “junk-filled” airbag on a motor vehicle.
Any violation constitutes a misdemeanor of the first degree, which
carries a maximum fine of $10,000, 5 years imprisonment or both.
