NON-PREFERRED APPROPRIATION BILL, SB 636, PN674:
The legislation would appropriate $306,465,000 to the Pennsylvania State University for the 2003-04 fiscal year.  The bill failed the necessary two-thirds majority passage on a 27-21 party-line vote.

NON-PREFERRED APPROPRIATION BILL, SB 637, PN675: The legislation would appropriate $163,336,000 to the University of Pittsburgh for the 2003-04 fiscal year.  The bill failed the necessary two-thirds majority passage on a 27-21 party-line vote. 

SB 157, PN822: The legislation amends the Public School Code to provide for the regulation of credit card marketing on a college or university campus.  The bill establishes the College Campus Credit Card Marketer Act and places restrictions on credit card solicitations to college students.   

A0585(Earll): The amendment made technical changes to the bill for clarity and readability purposes.  A 48-0 vote was recorded. 

SB 279, PN289 The legislation amends the Vehicle Code to provide for a special motorcycle registration plate for veterans.  A 48-0 vote was recorded.   

EXECUTIVE NOMINATIONS: The Honorable Dennis C. Wolff was confirmed as Secretary of Agriculture.  A 48-0 vote was recorded.
