SB 26, PN968: The legislation amends the Judicial Code to prohibit the imposition of the death sentence for a defendant convicted of first-degree murder that is determined to be mentally retarded.  A 48-1 vote was recorded. 

A1905(Boscola): This amendment would allow parties to present evidence on the issue of mental retardation following the issuance of a guilty of murder of the first degree verdict in a capital trial.  An 11-38 vote was recorded.  

SB 137, PN586: The legislation amends the “Allowing Minors to Consent to Medical Care Act of 1970” by clarifying the rights of minors and their parents to consent to mental health treatment and by providing for a procedure to resolve conflicts.  A 49-0 vote was recorded.

SB 696, PN798: The legislation amends Title 53 (Municipalities Generally) to repeal provisions that do not allow a police officers subject to civil service to engage or participate in political activity other than exercising their right to vote.  A 48-1 vote was recorded.
