PASSED THE SENATE

  PREFERRED APPROPRIATION BILL, SB 779, PN970: The legislation appropriates $1 million from the Agricultural Farm Operations Account within the General Fund to the State Farm Products Show Fund.  A 49-0 vote was recorded.  

SB 432, PN952 The legislation amends the Public Safety Emergency Telephone Act to establish an enhanced wireless E-911 emergency telephone system to allow county 911 centers to accurately pinpoint the location and phone number of a person who is calling for emergency assistance.

A1883(Wagner): This amendment makes an addition to the list of information that is to be included in annual reports submitted by the advisory board that is established under this legislation.  The report is to now include any advances in a wireless provider’s system technology or expansion of its customer service area which further the goal of providing access to a wireless E-911 system regardless of the customer’s geographic location on any interstate in the Commonwealth.  A 49-0 vote was recorded. 

A1934(Conti): This is a technical amendment which mainly clarifies language throughout the bill.  A 49-0 vote was recorded 

SB 521, PN962: The legislation amends the Judicial Code to provide for the assessment and commitment of sexually violent delinquent children and young adults.  A 49-0 vote was recorded.  

EXECUTIVE NOMINATIONS: The Honorable M. Diane Koken was confirmed as state Insurance Commissioner.  A 45-4 vote was recorded
