SB 255, PN951: The legislation creates the Alternative Fuels Incentive Grant Act.  The bill increases the reimbursement of costs related to installing, retrofitting or purchasing of alternative fueled vehicles from 20% to 50% of project costs.  In the case of school districts, municipal authorities, political subdivisions and nonprofit groups, the grant is for 60% of project costs.

A2415(Tomlinson): This amendment makes necessary home refueling equipment eligible for grants for 50% of the purchase and installation cost and provides for rebates to resident individuals for 50% of incremental costs for the purchase of a hybrid vehicle.  The amendment also changes the evaluation period of program funding from a two-year review to an annual review.  A 49-0 vote was recorded. 

SB 506, PN1041:  The legislation authorizes the Department of General Services, with the approval of the Governor, to grant and convey a tract of land and buildings formerly known as Western Center, to Washington County.  A 49-0 vote was recorded. 

A2664(Stout): This amendment makes a minor technical change in the bill to insert a six month time limit in the section pertaining to the execution of the land conveyance.  A 49-0 vote was recorded.

SB 716, PN838: The legislation amends the Third Class City Code to provide that no city shall exercise the right of eminent domain against land situated in another municipality for the purpose of establishing public recreation places without the approval by resolution of the governing body of the municipality in which the land is situated.  A 49-0 vote was recorded.

SB 846, PN 1033: The legislation releases a tract of land in Willistown Township, Chester County, from Project 70 restrictions set forth by the Project 70 Land Acquisition and Borrowing Act in exchange for the imposition of such restrictions upon other lands located within the township.  A 49-0 vote was recorded.

SB 850, PN 1042: The legislation releases a tract of land in Scranton, Lackawanna County, from Project 70 restrictions set forth by the Project 70 Land Acquisition and Borrowing Act, thus allowing the City of Scranton and the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Scranton to convey that land to the University of Scranton for the price of $1,150,000.  A 49-0 vote was recorded.  A 49-0 vote was recorded.          

EXECUTIVE NOMINATIONS: The Honorable Calvin B. Johnson, M.D., M.P.H. was confirmed as Secretary of Health.  A 49-0 vote was recorded.  The Senate also confirmed the following nominees.  A 49-0 vote was recorded for each.
