HB 217, PN2680: The legislation amends the Public School Code to further provide for continuing professional education programs.  The bill also includes a provision for an emergency stopgap budget measure that would restore temporary funding for public schools.  The appropriations provide school districts with approximately the total of two of the regular state subsidy payments usually received by districts.  A 27-20 party-line vote was recorded.
