HB 500, PN3187
:
The legislation establishes the “Elm Street Act” to provide for a residential enhancement program to be administered by the Department of Community and Economic Development.  The program will assist municipalities in preparing and implementing a revitalization strategy for establishing neighborhoods near a Main Street Program or in proximity to an existing commercial district.  A 49-0 vote was recorded.

Note: The following amendment was added to the language of HB 500 with the prior printer’s number 3185 and included in the final language of the passed legislation.

A0046(Mellow): This amendment changes the sunset date of the act from June 30, 2009 to June 30, 2011.  A 49-0 vote was recorded.

SR 191, PN1356: The resolution declares the week of January 25 through January 31, 2004, as “Catholic Schools Week” in Pennsylvania.  A 49-0 vote was recorded.
