SB 1096 PN 1701  This legislation amends the Insurance Company Law of 1921 to provide for additional required provisions that accompany the issuance of a contract of annuity, and further stipulates minimum nonforfeiture amounts on any paid-up annuity.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

HB 2396 PN 4464  The legislation amends the Crime Victims Act to include references to crimes related to driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance that were incorporated into the Motor Vehicle Code.  In making these changes, the bill clarifies that individuals who plead guilty or are convicted of these crimes must pay costs, a portion of which are paid into the Crime Victims Compensation Fund and the Victim Witness Services Fund.  The bill also allows compensation claims to be filed two (2) years after the discovery of the crime.  Currently claims may be filed up to two (2) years after a crime is committed.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

HB 2762, PN 4410  This legislation would authorize and direct the Department of General Services, with the approval of the Governor and the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, to convey to Anthony R. Domiano, Sr., and Anthony R. Domiano, Jr., a certain tract of land situate in the Borough of Archbald, Lackawanna County, in exchange for certain tracts of land.  The bill also conveys land in Fayette County to the Woodlands Zoo.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.
