HB 2027, PN 4051  This bill amends section 5 of the Urban Redevelopment law to further provide for the appointment and necessary qualifications of members of the authority.  A 47-0 vote was recorded in concurrence on the House amendments.

HB 552, PN 4690  This bill amends the Pennsylvania Securities Act of 1972 to add the use of the internet to the list of covered methods of advertising for the sale of securities and also adds a section providing for fees.  A 47-0 vote was recorded.

HB 553, PN 655  This bill amends the Pennsylvania Securities Act of 1972 by adding a section to establish the legal procedure for the escrow of payments by companies that are in violation of the state securities law.  A 47-0 vote was recorded.

HB 561, PN 663  This bill amends the Pennsylvania Securities Act of 1972 by further defining  “institutional investor”.  It also requires advisors, who receive consideration for their advice, to disclose certain information to a municipal pension plan.  A 47-0 vote was recorded.

HB 595, PN 697  This bill amends the Pennsylvania Securities Act of 1972 by providing a means for the Pennsylvania Securities Commission to be reimbursed for services rendered.  The Commission would only request such reimbursement if significant state funds were expended to assist injured parties.  A 47-0 vote was recorded.

HB 604, PN 1484  This bill amends the Pennsylvania Securities Act of 1972 by further providing definitions, registration sanctions, and criminal penalties for fraudulent practices.  A 47-0 vote was recorded.

SB 1079, PN 1493  This bill amends the Third Class City Code by further providing for beneficiaries of a fund not to be employed by the city.  A 47-0 vote was recorded.

 

HB 2298, PN 3198  This bill provides for the permanent identification labeling of dentures.  A 47-0 vote was recorded.

 

HB 2036, PN 4383  This bill amends Title 20 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes providing for mental health care declarations and powers of attorney.  Senator Thompson offered amendment A 4629 that clarifies the language concerning legal remedies.

 

SB 997, PN 1906   This bill amends Title 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated statutes by providing that any justice who is temporarily assigned to a political subdivision outside the district in which they are assigned shall be paid by the county in which the justice is temporarily assigned.  A 45-2 vote was recorded.
